Looking To Sell Old Rugs? Try Our Rug Hunters!
It’s no secret we love old rugs. While we continuously bring in new stock to offer the latest colors, styles, and patterns, we have a soft spot for old, vintage, and antique rugs.
Vintage rugs wear like iron. They are extremely durable and often survive generations of ownership. Because our family built David Tiftickjian & Sons on old rugs, we’ll never stop acquiring these pieces from local homes, estate sales, and other rug dealers. Even the ones with flaws like a missing corner or border, color fade, or general wear and tear. These flaws only make each rug more unique!
Over the decades our Rug Hunters have traveled to collect rugs in need of a new home. It’s how we’ve found stunning pieces like a 100+ year old Chinese Art Deco rug, a Vintage 4’x6′ Karastan Heriz rug no longer in production, a hard-to-find 9×12 Karastan Herati rug, an 8×10 Karastan rug with black on black borders, and a 9×12 rug with a highly-sought after hunter design.
We buy, refurbish the best we can, and clean each piece. From small rugs that run $30-$40 to larger rugs, we have an old, vintage, or antique rug for every budget. Come explore our Downtown Buffalo or Williamsville showrooms to see these exceptional rugs in person.
Or, if you’re interested in selling your collection, let us know! While we don’t purchase every rug, we’re willing to see your rugs before deciding.

A few of our favorite finds:
(Part 1/2) We recently amassed a new collection of rugs that we purchased from estates and customers, and found this highly desirable 1920s Chinese Art Deco Rug.
These 6×9, 8×10, and 9×12 Karastan rugs are in perfect condition and actually feature a Karastan Herati design that is hard to come by.
Our Rug Hunters brought back this 8×10 Karastan rug featuring a black on black border that’s difficult to find.
We found several stunning, hard to find rugs with eye catching designs to make any homeowner proud to display it. The last rug we’ll feature from this find has a hunting design.
As Rug Hunters, we love finding unique vintage rugs like this 8’10” Round Karastan Rug inspired by traditional Oushak designs!
